He was a Bishop of Yibin in mainland China where he served for over 20 years. He was ordained a bishop in 1985 and later he become rector of the regional seminary of Sichan. He also served time in Force Labor Cam. He died a few days before his birthday on December 16, 2012 in Yibin.
